The Formula for Raising Private Money: Trust + Good Deals + Marketing

Many entrepreneurs believe raising private money is all about finding wealthy people.

It’s not.

After raising millions of dollars in private capital over the years, I’ve found that it comes down to a simple formula:

Trust + Good Deals + Marketing = Capital

In this video, I explain why all three pieces are essential if you want to consistently attract private lenders and investors.

Here’s the reality:

You can be the most trustworthy person in the world, but if you don’t have good investment opportunities, people won’t invest.

You can have incredible deals, but if no one trusts you, they won’t risk their money with you.

And even if you have both trust and great deals, you’ll still struggle to raise capital if no one knows who you are.

That’s where marketing comes in.

Marketing isn’t about hype or making unrealistic promises. It’s about consistently sharing your story, your opportunities, your experience, and your values so the right people can get to know you over time. Consistency creates familiarity, and familiarity helps build trust.

When you combine trust, good deals, and consistent marketing, raising private money becomes far more predictable.
