COUNTDOWN TO KOKORO – 43 Days

WHY?

Not sure how many times I’ve heard that question since I signed up for Kokoro (#45), but it has been frequent to say the least.

The answer is simple: TO BE MORE

In order to Have More/Do More/Be More, and to truly improve in all al areas of my life, sometimes we need to endure pain, humility and sacrifice in order to grow. I want to grow. I want to learn and I want to do more with what I’ve been given.

Consider that many of the things that we want out of life often exist on the other side of Pain.

And sometimes, our only path to expansion is getting comfortable being uncomfortable.

This video is from the most recent Kokoro (#44) event that shows a little insight of what goes on during the 50+ hour crucible event that is non-stop, no sleep grinding, but I think you will see some of the results from the Men who were able to make it all the way through.
*No, most of those who attend Kokoro, don’t make it, but those who do attest to the transformation effects this experience has on their lives. And the word ‘transformational’ is used more often than not.

GUNS, SEX & FOOTBALL…and SAVING THE DAY…

What has happened to the modern day man?

A LOT has gone wrong. A lot.

Do you ever stop and think what we were designed for?

A lot of us have inquisitive minds to know how things work.

How to rebuild carburetors, how to build houses/construction, to know the inner workings of electronics, etc.

You see, when we know what something was designed for, then you begin to know its purpose and WHY it was designed in the way that it was.

I ask again, have you ever stopped to think about what You were designed for?

The way we’ve been Designed will reveal our Desires.

And when we begin to be REAL about our Desires, our Destiny and Calling will begin to be revealed.

There’s a reason that as Men we love Guns, Sex, Football, etc…

But WHY?

I believe it’s because we have within us at our core a desire to Compete and to Fight, and to Defend and to Love and at the end of the Day, we want to be the one who Saves the Day.

NO, you were not designed to sit in a cubicle, live with a cell phone attached to your head all damn day or live addicted to porn, alcohol, television, or anything for that matter.

You were born to LIVE
You were born to LOVE
And you were born to CREATE A LEGACY.

You don’t live in a Sitcom, this is Real Life and when you look in the mirror, what do you see?

SHAME. FEAR. GUILT. REMORSE. WEAKNESS.

YOU ARE HIDING & BACKING DOWN.

You hide at the office…
You hide at the gym…
You hide on the couch…
You hide on Facebook…

Posturing

That’s what it is.

I get it. Because I did the same thing, for many years.

But there comes a time in our lives when we have to stand up for what we believe in.

To stand up for the Calling that we feel in our Heart.

There comes a time that we must decide to step into that place of fear.

There comes a time when we need to DISCOVER & LIVE OUR DESIGN.

And for some Men, they’ve backed down for so long, they’ve lost the will to fight.

They’ve failed their Design.

They’re on the path to a slow, miserable, boring death.

But others?

Possibly you.

Some Men choose to fight.

There are Players.

And there are Pretenders.

Both are given equal opportunities with our gift of life.

All will die.

Few, will truly live.

BUSINESS / LIFE BALANCE?

Business-Life Balance for an entrepreneur?

The answer is simply NO. At least for myslef and the successful entrepreneurs I've seen.

Does this mean that the other areas of life will be neglected?

Absolutely not.

From what I've seen from most successful entrepreneurs and my own life, is it simply means that a successful Business requires you to change hard into your business each and every day so this generally requires a substantial amout of time focused on business/income generation.

A 50/50 Work & Life balance just doesn't happen that often.

However, there is a big way to 'Have It All' and create the necessary time to invest daily into the other areas of your life, with Faith, Family and Fitness/Health so that you're not neglecting the other Core areas of life.
