Spiritual Warfare

Do you believe this? Or evangelical nonsense?

I will tell you, that like most of you, I’ve been through a lot of sh*t over the years in life in which, looking back, a lot of it is kind of hard to explain and doesn’t make much logical sense in retrospect.

Some of it would be easy to explain away as random chance or bad luck.

But maybe something else has been going on.

Maybe there’s something deeper going on.

Could it be that there is a ‘spiritual’ battle that we’re all facing?

Think about this:
Why does every story have a villain?

Perhaps we were born into a world at war.

A spiritual war, going on behind the scenes.

For most people, they wake up to a life where they get up, drink some coffee, go to a job they dislike, drive home and listen to the radio while they sit in traffic, get home, watch tv, eat dinner, maybe have a couple of drinks, look at their phone and go to bed… and not consider the ‘attack’ that has been waged on their life.

This is a life of defeat my friends, and many of you have already given up.

You lost the battle years, or even decades ago and may not have even realized it.

Consider that you are going to have to fight for your heart and your freedoms in life.

This is a fight that few choose to face.

I’ll admit, years ago I would have laughed at the idea of a ‘spiritual warfare’ going on in my life.

But no longer.

I see it.

I feel it.

We live in a Matrix.

And you won’t escape it by just pretending it doesn’t exist.

Listen, your heart matters.

Your pursuit of freedom and your Calling within matters more than anything else.

And when you pursue these things, I guarantee, there will be opposition and a continual battle that must be waged.

And you know this is true.

Don’t give in to the temptations to stay stuck.

Don’t stop fighting the battles you are up against.

If you are pursuing what is good, and what is from God, you will be required to fight for it.

There will be villains you will face.

So being aware is half the battle.

The other half will be war.

Fight the good fight my friends.

The freedom you will find will be worth it.

As for me, no longer do I see the Battles I face as only physical, worldly battles.

There is a battle being fought in the spiritual realm.

And this is a battle I will continue to fight.

To fight to HAVE IT ALL that this world offers that is GOOD and that is available to me.

And to help others to do the same.
